Filming Deadline: Midnight Friday 9th January
You
need to apply your research and pre-production planning to the creation of your
music video. In other words, you now need to make your music video using all of
the planning you have put into place. Your product must be completed for you to
pass, but the more efficient and organised the process is and the better the
quality of the video, the higher your grade will be.
The
evidence you submit for this task will be:
Production
Log*
A
chronological account of the production process; including problems encountered
and overcome (what worked well and what you need to improve on). You must show evidence that you have worked as director, production
manager, camera operator and editor.
Behind the Scenes Photos*
It is important to show your development of your music video so you should regularly take behind the scenes photos; these should be supported with written discussions on the progress.
*Think of these two tasks as a diary. They can be combined to create a visually interesting diary/production log.

Filming Considerations
Think ahead about what could go wrong:
- Do you need permission to film in your location?
- Make sure you have fully charged cameras, tripods, lighting, props etc (remember to take behind the scenes shots)
- Make sure you know how to use the equipment
- Enusre you dont leave equipment behind on the shoot
- Make sure you have your storyboard with you
- Have a task list for everything you want to achieve during the shoot and in the right order
- Make sure you get enough footage; it is always better to have too much than too little
- Make sure all actors/team members know what time they are needed and where as well as what to bring
- Have a back-up plan for bad weather...this is England!
- Take time to set up your shots
- Shoot the same shot from a variety of different angles
- Make sure you consider continuity of the shots when filming from different angleas
- Consider background noise
- Always playback your rushes/footage.
